A community centre in Cardiff has benefited from new audio-visual equipment thanks to a donation from United Welsh Group and Barratt Homes.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

United Welsh and Barratt have been working closely with the Friends of Llwynfedw Gardens to help with their aims of developing their community centre to hold more events for local residents.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

One of the things they most wanted to be able to do was to host film nights, but they did not have the right equipment to make this a reality.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

But now thanks to a joint donation from United Welsh and Barratt who are currently working together to develop the site of the former Phoenix Brickworks on Caerphilly Road with 53 affordable homes, they now have a state-of-the-art projector, screen and loudspeakers.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Deputy Chief Executive of United Welsh Richard Mann said, \u201cWe are always keen to work with the local communities where we are creating new quality homes which is why we were delighted to be able to help the Friends of Llwynfedw Gardens realise their ambitions to hold more events for residents in their community centre.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s clear the community centre is well used already and it\u2019s great to be able to help them do even more.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cAs the country\u2019s largest housebuilder, we are committed to creating a positive legacy,\u201d said Craig Sugar, Technical Director of Barrratt South Wales. \u201cWe want to lead the industry not just in the quality of the homes and developments we build but also in our work with charities and good causes. We are delighted to be able to help the Friends of Llwynfedw Gardens and hope this new equipment enables people to enjoy their film nights.\u201d<\/p>\n

Their donation will make a real difference to the events that we can hold and will assist us in our ambition to bring the whole community together on a regular basis.<\/p>\n
