The rent paid by our tenants is our main source of income. It enables us to provide more homes to people who need them, improve our tenants’ homes and to provide more services that improve people\u2019s wellbeing and the communities where they live.<\/h4>\n

This is why we are quick to remind tenants when rent is owed and there are consequences to not paying.<\/p>\n

What will happen if I fall into arrears?<\/strong><\/p>\n

If you don\u2019t pay your rent, you are at risk of losing your home. We don\u2019t want that and we\u2019re sure that you don\u2019t either.<\/p>\n

If you can\u2019t afford to pay the money back straight away we can make an affordable repayment plan with you, but if you don\u2019t contact us or keep to the repayment arrangement, we will issue you a Notice of Seeking Possession, which is the first step in taking legal proceedings against you.<\/p>\n

What should I do if I receive a Notice of Seeking Possession?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Contact us straight away and tell us about your situation. Our Money Advisors helped 530 people to improve their financial situation last year, which in turn helped many to reduce their arrears and sustain their tenancies. We could help you too.<\/p>\n

Even though we have started the process to gain possession of your home, it is not too late to come to an agreement about paying the money you owe and preventing further legal action.<\/p>\n

We don\u2019t want anyone to lose their home, but if you don\u2019t pay your rent we will have to take action. If you lose your home because you haven\u2019t paid your rent, it may affect your chances of re-housing in the future.<\/p>\n
