The ELC is an excellent example of what can be achieved when people come together.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The ELC was formed by local school teachers and is now made up of several organisations, including:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Newport City Council<\/li>\n<li>POBL<\/li>\n<li>GAVO<\/li>\n<li>Parent Network<\/li>\n<li>Flying Start<\/li>\n<li>Newport Foodbank<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Working Families is delivered by United Welsh, Tai Calon, Monmouthshire Housing, Newport City Homes, Charter Housing and Linc Cymru with funding from Big Lottery Fund Wales.<\/p>\n<p>The Working Families team was setup to support working families in Newport, Blaenau Gwent, Caerphilly and Monmouthshire to improve their quality of life.<\/p>\n<p>The team creates and supports community initiatives to support working families who may be experiencing issues with having enough money to support the family and pay bills; debt; childcare; secure employment; training and more.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Children in Bettws, Newport have enjoyed activity packs to keep them entertained in the days of lockdown thanks to support from the Working Families team and partnership organisations.
