Celtic Offsite is a new social enterprise within the United Welsh Group that will soon manufacture low carbon timber frame homes from a new factory in Caerphilly.<\/h4>\n

Neil Robins, has been appointed as Managing Director to lead the team, bringing 25 years of experience in the development and operation of timber frame businesses.<\/p>\n

The Celtic Offsite factory is due to open later this year. It will manufacture high quality, sustainable timber frame structures complete with factory fitted insulation and windows to build up to 250 low carbon homes per annum.<\/p>\n

What attracted you to work for Celtic Offsite?<\/strong><\/h5>\n

\u201cI have delivered a few development projects for United Welsh over the years, including the build of Ty Silures, a development of nine apartments using energy efficient technology in west Cardiff. United Welsh are a great business to work with and true to their values. I knew Celtic Offsite would be a great opportunity to make a positive difference \u2013 through the provision of good quality energy efficient homes and the jobs and training opportunities on offer.\u201d<\/p>\n

When are you most inspired? <\/strong><\/h5>\n

\u201cWhen I am delivering something that has never been done before. I love innovation and we\u2019ll continue to look at innovative technologies as we start and continue the development pipeline for homes manufactured at Celtic Offsite.\u201d<\/p>\n

What\u2019s the best piece of advice you\u2019ve ever received? <\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201cAlways try to employ people who are better than you.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

What are you looking forward to in this new role?<\/strong><\/h5>\n

\u201cThe opportunities\u2026 Not only to build good quality homes but to also make a positive difference to the wider community. We\u2019ll be training the next generation of construction workers to build energy efficient homes and it feels good to contribute in our own way to developing people and protecting the environment as Wales strives to become carbon neutral.\u201d<\/p>\n

What are three things you can\u2019t live without? <\/strong><\/h5>\n

\u201cMy family, my drive to do more and my values.\u201d<\/p>\n

With over \u00a32m of investment from Welsh Government\u2019s Innovative Housing Programme, the Celtic Offsite factory will be located at Pontygwindy Industrial Estate near Caerphilly town centre.<\/p>\n
