As we continue to follow Welsh Government guidance for the Level 4 Lockdown in Wales, we are assessing our service offering to protect the health and wellbeing of our tenants and our staff.

We are now resuming delivery of some routine repairs.

The team at Celtic Horizons will complete a thorough risk assessment and consultation with tenants before any work is started, and if it is considered safe to do so, the repair will be booked.

However, as we continue to work through outstanding repairs and source materials that are taking longer than usual to obtain, new bookings for non-essential repairs may need to wait a little longer than normal.

We really appreciate your patience at this challenging time and thank you for working with us.

Larger planned maintenance work inside homes such as kitchen and bathroom installations continue to be postponed.

Work inside empty homes and work that can be carried out safely outdoors (such as outside property maintenance and grounds work) will continue.

Safety checks such as gas servicing and electrical checks will also continue to keep you safe at home.

Please be reassured that any work carried out will be done so with precautions in place for you, our communities and the Celtic Horizons team, and in line with Welsh Government guidance.

To find out more about the safety precautions Celtic Horizons will follow to stay Covid-safe, please watch our safety film:

In addition to undertaking risk assessments before booking appointments and to ensure that we continue to deliver repairs safely, we will:

  1. Call you the day before your appointment to check you are symptom free and check our operative is symptom free
  2. The operative will wear PPE and will remove all wipes, gloves and tools when finished
  3. If you would like the operative to wear a full suit in addition to their mask, gloves and shoe covers, please let us know
  4. Hands will be washed before and after all appointments
  5. When the operative arrives, open the door, stand back and don’t shake their hand. Ventilate the working area by opening windows if possible.
  6. Stay in a separate room while the operative works and stay 2m apart at all times.
